CoreWar "Koenigstuhl" Page

This hill is named after the location of the place where I worked (Max-Planck-Institute for Astronomy) until 1997 ('Koenigstuhl' translates to 'King's Chair'). Similar to Planar's Mt.Olympus (last update: 1998-08-31) this is an infinite hill. The difference is that I separated the hill into several categories and I let every program fight every other program:

The Recursive Koenigstuhl starts with the scores of everyone against everyone and assigns a weight if 1.0 to them. Then it uses only the scores against the top half of the resulting hill and adds these scores with a weight of 1/2, and calculates a new hill. Next it uses the top third with a weight of 1/3 and so on, until either there is no change in the ordering from the last iteration or the remaining size/N is 50 or less.
